Up at 8.00am

With a cup of coffee and its aroma wafting through the air, simple pleasures~

I'm about to get ready for my boring morning lecture. Actually, I find the math of this module interesting but the lecturer makes it seriously boring - sometimes, I don't know if he's still teaching in English or not but I will try to not leave halfway today. My motivation for going for today's lecture is to return some notes back to E. If it weren't for that, I would have gone to school at 1pm I guess.

Yesterday was my last day of work but I'm going back to look for JY again at the shop later because it's the last day of operation. I'm not sad, I just feel thankful that I had a really nice superior for these 2 months+. There was so much packing to do yesterday. It's funny how my last day of work turns out to be my busiest day there - followed by the day when I had to work a shift with my other colleague who talks a lot and she drains your energy with the conversations (sometimes, one-sided conversations because you are so tired you just don't know what to reply). I'm also glad that I didn't get promoted to become her "sista" but JY did hahahhaha (she got promoted after working a number of shifts with the colleague and enduring the many hours of conversations and occasionally, texts)

I wouldn't say I have a lot to miss from there. The only people working were JY, colleague who talks a lot, our superior and me and occasionally, we interact with the people working from the cafe beside us but it's not much so there really isn't much to miss. L made me bring home a lot from the ice cream shop - I got two tubs of ice cream, a jar of coffee powder, some muesli bars, brownies, cakes (it was really very heavy) but Justin dropped by after his paper so I had free labour for that 1 hour or so hahahah *insert two dancing girls emoji*

P.S. I think I ate a lot yesterday. I had beehoon + chicken + vegetables for lunch then I had some free pasta from the cafe beside (the pasta is really good!) and then I had cheesecake and then one quiche when JY came over and then I had my rice with watercress soup which I was supposed to have for lunch (I thought the beehoon could be a snack of something but I was pretty full after that + I had so much to pack I forgot about my soup)

Second last day at work

I'm about to be unemployed in 2 days time but then, it turns out that I might not be unemployed after all. Apparently, the shop will revert to Ben and Jerry's after Friday and they're hiring! So yep, I was offered a position there but I haven't accepted the offer because I thought of taking a one month break since it's going to be finals during November.

Either that or I can accept a colleague's offer to work at a bar opposite this ice cream cafe (also at Rochester). But this colleague scares me so I'll think about it~

*I want to take some @work selfies but I have two customers sitting right before me so it's kinda awkward, maybe later hahaha

On my recent (mostly) online shopping spree
I bought a dress and a top from MGP approximately 2 weeks ago, a dress from FEP and just placed an order for 4 dresses two days ago. Oh right, I just bought a trench coat and a dress from online too. I used to not enjoy shopping online because I find it risky, since most clothes might not be able to fit me perfectly (because I'm so small >,<).

I think I'm resorting to online shopping because I keep seeing the same stuff being sold outside (the palm tree/leave design is everywhere, the floral romper with origami bottoms, the dress with a triangular cut-out just above the belly button..) and I'm so sick of seeing them.

Because they're everywhere, most people can/will buy them and I feel very uncomfortable just thinking about that (I know I'm not the only one who thinks that way). Just that day when I was at H&M with TH, we both saw this dress that looked appealing to us but because it was on a rack just right before the entrance and because it was $25, we both decided to not get it [because the dress is easily accessible and very affordable which increases the probability of someone actually getting it --> which is profitable for the company but then not beneficial to us because then we'll see many people wearing it].

Yep, so I can't wait for my shopping loot to arrive so I have many more dresses for Christmas, New Year whatever occasion that arises. Alright I shall watch some webcasts~

(went to school from 10-10.50am just to submit an assignment then skipped all the other classes to go to town - I have a lot to catch up on so... I should really be gone)

Very lazy and boring Sunday

I didn't do anything today. My plan was to watch some of the webcasts that I haven't watched but ended up playing with various apps on my iPad.

So, here's to a better tomorrow I guess. Tomorrow will be my third last day at work >,< Kinda ambivalent towards that -  unsure if I should feel happy since that will mean I have more free days or slightly upset/worried because that will mean I have to start looking for another part time job to finance my spendings and also, I will have no additional income in November.

On a side note, I'll be 21 this time next week. Mehh

Friday & Saturday

I was so tired on Friday omg but on a positive note, I finally submitted the video presentation and slides for the Physics project. I'm so glad it's finally completed but I'm not sure if I want it to be a really good presentation because if it's really that good, I'll have to present it to the whole LT (I think) so.... we'll see about that.

Went to Hard Rock to meet the fam for early birthday celebration. Thanks for the cupcakes @Hanrui :D Tianhui stayed over with me. We thought of going for HHN but then decided that maybe we can go this coming Saturday so yep, we spent Friday just walking around RWS and had late dinner at Nam Nam and then just sat somewhere to talk until 2 plus in the morning.

Oh yeah, my roses have finally dried. Finally took them out of the storeroom and they're now kept in a jar.

How the flowers looked after drying for 2 weeks +

Hairspray to better preserve the flowers (or so I read online)
My dried roses in a jar

So happy that I managed to preserve these roses because they're my first bouquet from Justin hahaha

How I dried them was basically just separating the bouquet into two bundles then tie them to each end of a hanger so that they'll be hanging upside down. I read on many websites that you have to dry them in dark places like a closet/basement but some mentioned that anywhere is fine as long as it's not under direct sunlight. I hung the flowers in the storeroom for slightly more than 2 weeks and yep, I quite like how the dried roses look :)

How the roses looked on 9/10/2014 and how I looked after receiving them
Didn't do much on Saturday. TH and I thought of watching a movie in the afternoon, after checking out of Hard Rock but there was none to our liking so we ended up shopping but I didn't buy anything though. Had lunch then went home to configure my iPad then took a very short nap and met Jiayan in town for dinner. Omg is this the first time I'm meeting Jiayan outside of ICF ever since we started work there..

We wanted to check out the new library at Gateway but it was already closing so we didn't get to explore the library. Went over to Holland V later to meet Daphne and Hazel for supper. We stayed at EWF from 10 to 12+, just catching up over some fries and drinks (I don't get why the menu there seems different from the one at OC and the price seems to be higher too).

Hmmm.. Guess Friday and Saturday were both pretty well-spent.

Week without Justin

I'm so bored at work, I decided to go back to blogging.

This is the nth time I've created a blog (with n >= 5 ) and I don't know how long this will last because its predecessors lasted for maybe weeks or a few months (with the exception of one blog that lasted for about 2 years then I lost interest in it).

Met up with my dance clique from secondary school on Sunday.

We went to Playnation at Prinsep Street (opposite POMO). Sunny booked the 2-6pm slot and we were there at around 1.45pm but Playnation pulled up their shutters only at 2pm, on the dot, not even 1.55pm. It was pretty cheap - approximately $15 per person for 4 hours? (inclusive of GST and all)

^ Me and my photogenic friend

Stayed there for 4 hours and we were certainly worn out and famished after all the dance central, just dance, super mario kart (played my favourite character Yoshi hehe) then we had dinner at Astons at Cathay where I had my usual order - Lemonlime chicken with pasta salad and tasty rice.
Always thought it funny that they have to name their rice "tasty rice", like an attempt to convince us that it is really tasty and we have to get it because it's not like ordinary rice, it's tasty rice.
I have loads of work to finish and catch up on - record a video presentation for my Physics project later tonight and math assignment to be handed up tomorrow.

This week passed by really fast.
Monday - worked from 12pm to 10pm
Tuesday - went to school from 2pm to 4+ (for one lecture and then stayed back for awhile to discuss physics project)
Wednesday - Deepavali! Met Hanrui for very early dinner at De' Pop Culture (walking distance from Bugis) - it's popart-themed. I liked the music they played there hahahha - The Temper Trap, The Smiths etc. and I liked the deco (didn't take any pictures though), it makes me want to have a cafe of my own...well, just building sandcastles in the air.
Thursday (today) - working from 12pm to 10pm
Friday - school from 10am-5pm (because I have to attend a make up tutorial) and then, off to Hard Rock Hotel with the fam and Tianhui.

Might be getting some free cupcakes from Hanrui tomorrow hehe

Ok I see customers (oh no, that touchy couple again >,< ) Shall go off now~
